R600 n-Butane
Ecochill R-600 (n-Butane) is a hydrocarbon gas used in selected refrigeration, cooling, and specialized industrial applications. It has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a very low global warming potential (GWP), making it an environmentally preferable option in suitable applications compared with many conventional synthetic refrigerants. R-600 offers useful thermodynamic properties and can be used in refrigeration systems specifically engineered for its operating characteristics. Its suitability depends on the equipment design and intended application. Since n-butane is highly flammable, it requires appropriate handling procedures, compatible equipment, and strict safety precautions during storage, transportation, and use.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
- Ecochill R-600 should only be used in equipment and applications specifically approved for n-butane.
- Do not use R-600 as a direct replacement for R-600a or any other refrigerant unless the equipment manufacturer explicitly approves the conversion.
- R-600 is highly flammable. Keep it away from flames, sparks, hot surfaces, and other ignition sources.
- Ensure suitable ventilation and use compatible leak-detection equipment and tools approved for flammable gases.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and the product Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for handling, storage, transfer, and recovery where applicable.
- Never intentionally release the gas into the atmosphere; follow applicable recovery and disposal requirements.
- Store cylinders in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from heat, direct sunlight, and ignition sources.
- Ensure handling is performed by appropriately trained personnel in accordance with applicable safety regulations.
