R-290
Ecochill R-290 (Propane) is a hydrocarbon refrigerant widely used in domestic and commercial refrigeration applications. It offers excellent thermodynamic properties, reliable cooling performance, and high energy-efficiency potential in compatible refrigeration systems. R-290 has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a very low global warming potential (GWP), making it a more environmentally friendly alternative to many conventional synthetic refrigerants. It is commonly used in refrigerators, freezers, beverage coolers, display cabinets, and selected air conditioning systems specifically designed for propane refrigerant. Due to its highly flammable nature, R-290 requires specially designed equipment and appropriate safety precautions during installation, servicing, storage, and handling.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
- Ecochill R-290 is a hydrocarbon refrigerant intended for equipment specifically designed and approved for propane refrigerant.
- Do not use R-290 as a direct replacement for another refrigerant unless the equipment manufacturer explicitly approves the conversion.
- R-290 is highly flammable (A3 classification). Keep it away from flames, sparks, hot surfaces, and other ignition sources.
- Ensure appropriate ventilation and use suitable leak-detection equipment and tools approved for flammable refrigerants.
- Follow the equipment manufacturer’s instructions for charging, servicing, leak testing, and refrigerant recovery.
- Recover refrigerant using approved equipment and never intentionally release it into the atmosphere.
