R454A
Ecochill R-454A is a blended hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) and hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant developed for low- and medium-temperature commercial refrigeration applications. It offers a lower-global-warming-potential alternative to R-404A in suitable equipment. R-454A is designed to deliver reliable cooling performance in compatible refrigeration systems used for food storage, commercial cooling, and cold chain applications. It has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a significantly lower global warming potential (GWP) than R-404A, helping reduce the environmental impact associated with refrigerant use. R-454A is classified as an A2L refrigerant, meaning it has lower toxicity and mild flammability. Ecochill R-454A should only be used in equipment specifically designed or approved for this refrigerant, following manufacturer recommendations and applicable safety regulations.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Use Ecochill R-454A only in equipment specifically designed or approved for this refrigerant.
- Do not use R-454A as a direct drop-in replacement for R-404A unless the equipment manufacturer explicitly approves the conversion.
- R-454A is an A2L mildly flammable refrigerant. Use appropriate ventilation, leak-detection equipment, compatible tools, and A2L safety procedures.
- As a blended refrigerant, it should generally be charged in the liquid phase according to the equipment manufacturer’s instructions.
- Follow approved procedures for installation, charging, leak testing, servicing, and refrigerant recovery.
- Never intentionally release refrigerant into the atmosphere. Recover it using approved recovery equipment.
- Store cylinders in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from excessive heat and ignition sources.
