Ecochill R-1234ze(E), also known as trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoroprop-1-ene, is a next-generation hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) refrigerant with the chemical formula C₃H₂F₄. It is designed for applications that require efficient heat transfer and a lower environmental impact. R-1234ze(E) has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a very low global warming potential (GWP) compared with many traditional HFC refrigerants.
