R454B
Ecochill R-454B is a blended hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) and hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant developed primarily for air conditioning and heat pump applications. It is a lower-global-warming-potential alternative to R-410A in compatible equipment, offering cooling performance for modern residential and commercial HVAC systems. R-454B has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a significantly lower global warming potential (GWP) than R-410A, helping reduce the environmental impact associated with refrigerant use. It is classified as an A2L refrigerant, meaning it has lower toxicity and mild flammability. Ecochill R-454B should only be used in equipment specifically designed or approved for this refrigerant, following manufacturer recommendations and applicable safety regulations.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Use Ecochill R-454B only in equipment specifically designed or approved for this refrigerant.
- Do not use R-454B as a direct drop-in replacement for R-410A unless the equipment manufacturer explicitly approves the conversion.
- R-454B is an A2L mildly flammable refrigerant. Use appropriate ventilation, compatible tools, suitable leak-detection equipment, and approved A2L safety procedures.
- As a blended refrigerant, it should generally be charged in the liquid phase according to the equipment manufacturer’s instructions.
- Follow approved procedures for installation, charging, leak testing, servicing, and refrigerant recovery.
- Never intentionally release refrigerant into the atmosphere. Recover it using equipment approved for the refrigerant and application.
- Store cylinders in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from excessive heat and ignition sources.
- Consult the product Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and follow all applicable environmental and safety regulations.
