R448A
Ecochill R-448A is a blended hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) and hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant developed for low- and medium-temperature commercial refrigeration applications. It is designed as a lower-global-warming-potential alternative to traditional refrigerants such as R-404A and R-22 in suitable systems. R-448A provides reliable cooling performance for compatible supermarket refrigeration, cold storage facilities, food processing equipment, and commercial refrigeration systems. It has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a lower global warming potential (GWP) than R-404A, helping reduce the climate impact associated with refrigerant use. Ecochill R-448A should be used only in equipment designed for or approved to operate with this refrigerant, following manufacturer recommendations and applicable environmental regulations.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Use Ecochill R-448A only in equipment designed or approved for this refrigerant.
- For retrofits, follow the equipment manufacturer’s approved conversion procedure and verify system compatibility.
- As a blended refrigerant, R-448A should generally be charged in the liquid phase to help maintain the correct blend composition.
- Follow manufacturer instructions for charging, servicing, leak testing, and system maintenance.
- Recover refrigerant using approved equipment and never intentionally release it into the atmosphere.
- Store cylinders in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.
