R125
Ecochill R-125, also known as pentafluoroethane, is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant with the chemical formula CHF₂CF₃. It is widely used as a component in refrigerant blends such as R-404A and R-410A, which serve various commercial refrigeration and air conditioning applications. R-125 offers useful thermodynamic properties that support heat transfer and cooling performance when formulated into compatible refrigerant blends. It has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP), but a high global warming potential (GWP), making responsible handling, recovery, and emissions prevention important. Ecochill R-125 should be used only in applications and equipment specifically approved for this refrigerant.
