Cyclopentane
Ecochill Cyclopentane is a hydrocarbon-based blowing agent used in the manufacture of polyurethane (PU) and polyisocyanurate (PIR) rigid foam insulation. It helps produce lightweight foam with effective thermal insulation properties, making it suitable for applications requiring energy-efficient insulation and temperature control. Cyclopentane is widely used in the production of insulated panels, refrigeration equipment, and other foam-based insulation products. It has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a very low global warming potential (GWP), making it an alternative to certain conventional fluorinated blowing agents. Its suitability depends on the formulation, foam processing conditions, and required insulation performance. As a highly flammable hydrocarbon, Cyclopentane requires appropriate storage, ventilation, process controls, and fire safety measures.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
- Use Ecochill Cyclopentane in formulations and production processes specifically designed for hydrocarbon blowing agents.
- Determine the appropriate concentration through formulation testing and supplier recommendations.
- Ensure compatibility with polyol blends, processing equipment, and the required foam properties.
- Provide adequate ventilation and use suitable explosion-protected equipment in processing and storage areas.
- Keep the product away from flames, sparks, hot surfaces, and other ignition sources.
- Ensure grounding and bonding measures are in place where required to control static electricity.
- Storage, transfer, and handling must be carried out by trained personnel in accordance with the product Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
- Follow applicable fire safety, workplace, transport, and environmental regulations.
