R449A
Ecochill R-449A is a blended hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) and hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant designed for low- and medium-temperature commercial refrigeration applications. It is a lower-global-warming-potential alternative to traditional refrigerants such as R-404A and R-507A in compatible systems. Ecochill R-449A delivers reliable cooling performance for supermarket refrigeration, cold storage facilities, food processing equipment, and other commercial refrigeration systems. It has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a lower global warming potential (GWP) than R-404A, helping reduce the environmental impact of refrigeration operations. It should only be used in equipment designed for or approved to operate with R-449A, following manufacturer recommendations and applicable regulations.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Use Ecochill R-449A only in equipment designed or approved for this refrigerant.
- For retrofit applications, follow the equipment manufacturer’s approved conversion procedure and verify system compatibility.
- As a blended refrigerant, R-449A should generally be charged in the liquid phase to help maintain the correct blend composition.
- Follow manufacturer instructions for refrigerant charging, servicing, leak testing, and system maintenance.
- Recover refrigerant using approved recovery equipment. Never intentionally release refrigerant into the atmosphere.
- Store cylinders in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.
- Always follow the product Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and applicable environmental and safety regulations.
